RP deports suspected Jordanian terrorist
MANILA, Philippines - The Bureau of Immigration has deported a Jordanian national allegedly involved in a plan to bomb the embassies of the US and three other countries in Manila. In a statement released Thursday, Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan said Moh'd Armo was flown to Bangkok on Monday night where he was transferred to a connecting flight of the Royal Jordanian Airlines bound for Amman. Libanan said Amro was expelled pursuant to a summary deportation order that the BI board of commissioners issued on May 11 for being an undesirable alien and due to his alleged involvement in supposed bomb plots against foreign embassies here. Libanan added Amro had been placed in the Philippine immigration blacklist, which means the Jordanian national will be prevented from re-entering the country. The Immigration statement also quoted Victor Boco, BI technical assistant for intelligence and security, as saying that Amro was deported based on the testimony of a fellow Jordanian, Walid Abu Aisheh. Aisheh had said that both he and Amro, along with three other compatriots, conspired in a plot to bomb the embassies of the US, Israel, United Kingdom, and Australia. Aisheh and another Jordanian - Khalil Al-Ali, were earlier deported in April over the alleged plot. All suspected terrorists were arrested by government security forces in February. - GMANews.TV
