Cebu Pac cancels flight to Hong Kong due to typhoon
MANILA, Philippines – Cebu Pacific on Wednesday afternoon announced that it has canceled flights 5J 118 and 5J 119 from Manila to Hong Kong and from Hong Kong to Manila, respectively. The flight cancellation was due to typhoon Kammuri (known as typhoon Igme in the Philippines), which was over Hong Kong as of posting time. The airline said affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flight Wednesday evening and Thursday. Cebu Pacific earlier announced that its operation at the Ninoy Aquino Internatinal Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) has returned to normal. The airline said maintenance operations on its Airbus and ATR aircraft have been completed and that the two aircraft have been deployed to accommodate passengers. "We apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused from the start at Terminal 3 and thank our passengers for their patience and understanding," Cebu Pacific spokesperson Candice Iyog said in a statement. Iyog said the Cebu Pacific management continues to meet with airline officials on a daily basis "to put in place additional facilities such as flight information displays for guidance of our passengers." - GMANews.TV
