Militant transport group wants P7/l rollback
MANILA, Philippines - While it posed no objection to a fare rollback, militant jeep operators pushed anew for a "mega-rollback" of fuel prices - P7/liter. Radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad reported that the Pinagkaisang Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) called for the big-time rollback to reflect world prices of oil. Piston secretary general George San Mateo said they pose no objection to the fare rollback discussed with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board earlier. Effective Dec. 15, minimum jeep fares will be rolled back to P7.50 from the present P8.- GMENews.TV
