Halili eyes 'psychological violence' case vs. Kho over sex video


MANILA, Philippines – Actress Katrina Halili is pursuing a case of psychological violence under the Women and Children’s Welfare Act against Dr. Hayden Kho, who admitted to videotaping their having sex but denied having any part in spreading the video through the Internet. This was bared by Vicente de Guzman III, chief of the Anti-Fraud and Computer Crimes Division of the National Bureau of Investigation. "Katrina Halili said she is pursuing psychological violence complaint against Kho as well as those who are behind the uploading of the video in the Internet. She said she will not back down in her fight," De Guzman said. Kho and his former girlfriend Dr. Vicki Belo are set to file next week their counter-affidavits with the NBI. Also expected to appear at the NBI headquarters on Monday is engineer Ric Johnston Chua – Kho's friend who was earlier reported to be a doctor named Erik. Kho and Belo of the Belo Medical Clinic were summoned by the NBI to appear before the bureau on Friday after a complaint was filed by Halili against Kho. But the two doctors did not appear and instead sent their lawyers – Peter John Javier, Jose Paolo A. Patajo, and two others. According to De Guzman, Chua was also subpoenaed but did not appear at the NBI on Friday. He later sent a message to the NBI that he had already hired a lawyer who asked for a time to study the matter. He also said he would cooperate in the probe. Kho was reportedly has a "library of sex videos" – at least 40 sex videos with different women. "We will look into that matter," De Guzman said. On Friday, one of Kho's lawyers, Patajo, read a statement admitting that he recorded his having sex with former girlfriend Halili. But he saii the videos were not intended to malign nor hurt anyone. He also denied he had any part in the uploading of the video in the Internet and its reproduction and distribution through VCDs. In his statement, Kho said - GMANews.TV
