Report: American, Pinay nabbed in anti-drug raid

An American national and his Filipino wife were arrested in an anti-drug raid in Cotabato in Mindanao Thursday. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Jeffrey Bennett, 24, and wife Sarah Cabugatan during the raid, Radio dzXL reported Thursday night. The report said Bennett yielded 10 kilos of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) and drug paraphernalia. Members of the raiding team also seized from him several high-powered unregistered firearms. Bennett now faces charges for violating the anti-drug act and illegal possession of firearms.—JV, GMANews.TV
