Report: Hackers attack Oracle, Microsoft sites
Hackers separately attacked the websites of international firms Oracle and Microsoft (Brazil) Monday (Manila time). Oracle's database website was vulnerable to an SQL injection attack, no thanks to a loophole that could be exploited, The Hacker News reported. "The website having a loophole by which any attacker can easily hack into it. The vulnerability is found and submitted by Hacker m@m@," The Hacker News said. It said that while Oracle offers integrated systems to large firms, the attack showed how quickly the site could be compromised. The article posted a link that as of 3 p.m. Monday (Manila time) displayed raw data. "But the website now itself compromised with SQL injection attack," The Hacker News said. Meanwhile, The Hacker News also reported a hacker, "TG," attacked Microsoft's Brazil site. "(The) hacker redirect(ed) server address microsoft.com.br to the page of Microsoft Brazil. Instead of being sent to the developer page of Windows, the Internet user that accesses the address is faced with a message published by hackers as 'Ms Brazil 0wn3d by TG,'" it said. However, Microsoft's Brazil site appeared to be normal as of 3 p.m. Monday. — RSJ, GMA News
