Defiant American nabbed for P860 resto bill

An American national was arrested before dawn Saturday for refusing to pay the bills for the drinks he consumed at an establishment in Manila’s Baywalk area. Radio dzRH reported that the American refused to give his name even when he was brought to the Ospital ng Maynila (OSMA) for a medical examination. “You talk to my lawyer," SPO4 Roberto Diestro of the Manila Police District Station 5 recalled the American repeatedly telling them, when they asked his name. Diestro said the incident took place at about 3 a.m., when the American national refused to pay an P860 bill handed over by the waiter. The waiter called police, who arrested the American and brought him to OSMA for a medical examination. It was not immediately clear if the American resisted arrest. - GMANews.TV
