2 bakers in deadly rumble charged with liquor ban violation - report
Two bakers who figured in a deadly predawn rumble in Makati City on Sunday joined the list of individuals facing charges for violating the Commission on Elections’ liquor ban. Radio dzBB reported that the bakers, initially identified as Erwin Lonsame and Joel Macandog, both 18, were arrested after stabbing a certain Benny Gonzaga, 37, during the rumble at Bangkal village in Makati City. The report quoted police homicide investigators as saying that Lonsame and Macandog, who both worked at Albert and AMM Bakery, were having a drinking spree when Gonzaga’s friend, a certain Jon Tobias, accosted them. Tobias allegedly accused the two of staring at him, triggering an exchange of words. Gonzaga tried to intervene but was stabbed several times. - GMANews.TV
